A Work in Progress

Hi, here's a song I wrote. I don't really have a tune for it, but here goes.

When the stars light up the midnight sky,
All of the worlds shine on your lies,
I'm feeling like I'm all alone,
Watching my heart turn to stone,
Maybe I'm mistaken, maybe I'm wrong,
This is my fight-back song.

I'm seeing red lights, stars burst,
The sun's blinding me,
I'm stuck here wondering,
Thinking when I'll be free.

It's a work in progress,
I just want to get out of this mess,
Let's run away to a place that's safe
Running, running, never lose faith,
Let's escape from this mental cage,
Running, running, leave this place,
Let's be free.

I'm on the dark side of the moon,
Float away from life like a balloon,
Feel like the world's against me,
Lonely as far as I can see,
I know I've got to stay strong,
This is my fight-back song.

Satellites shine, these blue skies,
We're leaving on a high,
Live life in a true way,
Never knowing what we should say,
But we know that we're okay,
But I need you to stay,
Just stay for a moment to know that day,
When we don't pay for what we don't have, for a display.

I'll be free.

I wrote this song with the help of my 'manager' A and my 'agent' M. I took inspiration from the song There for You by Troye Sivan. This song is about leaving all the hate and lies in the world for something new.
